Live at the Parade of Homes – The Importance of Staging

With the popularity of the ‘open floor plan’ concept, home staging has become increasingly important. In an open floor plan, there is little distinction between rooms, often even the walls and flooring flow continuously from room to room. Thus enters a well place chair or side table! Furniture strategically place can serve as a natural barrier between the now defined rooms.
Our Parade of Homes condo is a great example. The dining area and living room share the same primary wall Nd flooring with no significant distinction. To create the feeling of two separate rooms, design consultant Kathy Rautiola of Williams Furniture utilized two sitting chairs and a great TV stand; take a look at the picture!!

Having been in condos with no furniture and condos as well staged as our Parade, the difference is remarkable. There is no question about what room you are in, or what it’s purpose is; the furniture tells the story!
