Space to play.  With the increased technology of video game software and DVD’s, the family room has become active, mobile, and integrative.  Providing plenty of room for this play to occur and providing plenty of space for all of the ‘stuff’ required in this updated technology is key.

Comfortable.  Families are vacationing and entertaining themselves more and more at home, ‘staycations’ if you will.  Providing a comfortable space to curl up and read a book or watch a movie is something highly desired by many families.

The Kitchen is the family room.  Kitchens have expanded to become a hotspot for hangouts.  Adding a living room type space adjacent and even open to the kitchen is always appealing.

By investing in new hang out space with cozy but technologically savvy features, sellers will not only have a great new space to enjoy in the meantime but also have the potential to make on average 53% back on the sale of the home.  Not bad.
