While there are no major trends for remodeling these necessary, but often forgotten features, there is something to be said about curb appeal.  A potential buyer could be instantly swayed by the look or condition of a front door, visible windows, or the shingles.  It’s called curb appeal- and it is important!  Making sure these elements are in good working order is key to selling a home.  Replacing these items also bring a pretty good return on investment for the seller with the following averages:

Windows- 63%

Roof- 50-60%

Entry Door- 60-100%

Having these elements in good working order and up to date with current codes will also ease the inspection process once the home sells. When replacing older windows or entry doors with new products, you may also see energy savings; this is a great selling feature for cost conscience buyers.
