Mission: Sell Your House! Part 3

Mission:  Replace and Remodel?

Once you have made the decision to sell your home and hopefully have sought the council of a licensed Real estate agent, choices may need to be made regarding any improvements on the home before listing it for sale.  Some areas may NEED attention in order to pass inspections.  Other areas may need improvement based on current market trends and desires of potential buyers.  A good real estate agent will be open and honest with you about modifications that your house needs; agents have the ability to look at your house through unbiased eyes, which is how potential buyers will look at your home. It’s important to ask the question, “will a buyer choose to NOT buy my house because of……fill in the blank”. If the answer is yes, you may want to consider remodeling or replacing that item. You could also consider lowering the price of the home. Either way, it’s important to address any potential hurdles that buyers will notice when they look at your house. With so many rooms and areas to a home, we have broken down the possible replace and remodel areas to give you trends, options, and the possible return on your investment.
